Blurb: In a future world, vampires reign. Humans are blood cattle. And one girl will search for the key to save humanity.

Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a vampire city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten.
Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them. The vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself is attacked—and given the ultimate choice. Die…or become one of the monsters.
Faced with her own mortality, Allie becomes what she despises most. To survive, she must learn the rules of being immortal, including the most important: go long enough without human blood, and you will go mad.
Then Allie is forced to flee into the unknown, outside her city walls. There she joins a ragged band of humans who are seeking a legend—a possible cure to the disease that killed off most of humankind and created the rabids, the mindless creatures who threaten humans and vampires alike.
But it isn't easy to pass for human. Especially not around Zeke, who might see past the monster inside her. And Allie soon must decide what—and who—is worth dying for.

My Thoughts

The first book in the Blood Of Eden series was awesome.  The characters were great, the plot was very captivating.  The book used a lot of descriptive words that made me imagine what was really happening to Allison.  The characters were really closely related on how they acted.

Allison at first was just a mere human being, and hated the vampires that marked people as theirs.  One day, her friends and Allison went out of the border line where her whole city was to get some food.  On the way back, they were met by some rabids.  They formed into two groups and split up.  When they started running two of her friends were eaten, so they left them and kept on running.  Allison was pulled back by a rabid and he tore of a piece of her skin from her shoulder.  Her friend that was running with her got over the gate and yelled at Allison to get up and try going over the gate.  But she couldn't move so she just said to him to run until he finds their camp.  He ran for his life, then Allison saw someone right in front of her.

Allison as the main character was very badass.  She kicked major vampire butt and burned some places down.  She was the kind of character you can fall in love.  She tries to help her friends survive with enough food that can last for few days, and keep them safe.

This book was very fast pace. I'm anxious for the second book in the series.  I want to see what happens to Allison next.
